On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October 2008, Marie Curie Cancer Care had a Zipwire event from the top of the Imperial War Museum crossing over the Manchester Ship Canal, to the Lowry Centre, to raise money for the charity. 

Carmet Provided Safety Boat ‘Rib’ free of charge for the 2 day event, and also gave a donation of £500.00.
