Carmet have a long history of
involvement with the film and television industry, and have supplied
vessels both as part of the action and as film platforms. We are in a
unique position to supply a wide range, from period wooden boats to modern
vessels and with our connections with the civil engineering industry can
supply a wide range of floating equipment.
In the past we have worked with the Central Office of Information in the
production of sea safety documentaries and have featured in numerous films
and documentaries concentrating on the towage industry.
The first feature film in which Carmet were involved was the Walt Disney
production, ‘Shipwrecked’ for which we provided period wooden
boats, personnel and the launch ‘Verity’ as a film platform.
More recently we have supplied period vessels for Columbia pictures
'First Knight'. In 2000 we provided vessels for both Samuel L.
Jackson's '51st State' and the Richard Harris film 'My Kingdom'.
A number of photographs showing our involvement are provided in the Film
Gallery. |
